Dude, I DO like that blues beat. It has balls. Wishbore and Queen Crudsom are wishy washy, jazz influenced jack-offs. Youre going to tell me now that they're wonderful musicians, and they write very complicated songs for "educated" listeners. If i want to hear notes and structure i'll listen to Mozart. At least he's got an ear for music, and i won't be tormented with sick images of a group of throw back seventies drag queens. Thin Lizzy says so much more about you, Vagoobus (The Boys are Back in Town-LMFAO). Your tastes reveal that you are as far from cool as it gets. I dont know what is worse, Lizzy's lyrics or the way the dickhead sings them:

...fell about the place? what dork ass drudge! and this is their most popular song. And its idea: Aren't we cool rebels? "if the boys want to fight you better let 'em"? A successful song should suggest a subtle message and convey deeper feelings; it doesnt push predictable stories in your face. Compare your kiddie crap to Pete Townsend lyrics:

It's all the same, over stretched vocal cord crap. Who's the little dickhead...Daltry..Daughtry? Every crappity smacking lyric he utters is that same forced, false sounding horseshit. I wish, just somehow we could bring, say, a Marriot back on stage with a few of these little Tinsel Town, American Iduuhl manufactured pricks.

LOL you might discredit all the bands I like but at least your posts are fun to read. Ok Lizzy’s lyrics are not particularly deep but so what? Isnt it the same with say “whole lotta love”? ( Feel free to smear Zeppelin if you don’t agree).

I never liked "Whole lotta Love" much, not since i was 21 and figured out that the song is about a whole lot 'a nothing. Lots of Zeppelin tunes are like that-Kashmir, Days and Confused, Achilles-they go on and on and on. They have a ton of music, and many good tunes.

Yeah, Elephant Boy can play. I wasn't up out my seat or anything. I do like the popular Dire Straits tunes-MTV, Sultans. The links you left are more instrumental stuff, though not anything as bad as your first offerings. I was thinking Telegraph Road would about Detroit. Knobbler has many influences it seems--Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot-both of whom qualify as cool.

You guys seem to like acoustic stuff a lot. I had never heard Lightfoot or Bonamassa before. They sound very “american” Im guessing they are mainly known in the states. The closest thing to that that I would know of are bands like grateful dead & CCR
