Devilsmacker e=mail is mstamo74@aol.com.    I plan on dominating this tournament like all the others.  Or, I plan on drinking my way though each game so that it doesn't much matter how I do.

Quote from Xerxes on Feb 18th, 2012, 2:45pm:
Dear SEKERTZIS,

TNRocky founded March Madness in 2009, and he and I are now in our 3rd year together organizing and running this great tournament, along with razorclaw who is back for his 2nd year. Throughout this whole time, every decision made by the tournament committee has been well-reasoned and agreed by all to be fair.  No one has accused us of making any unjust decisions.  Ours is also the only tournament that features exact seeding based on ranking, fun side contests, and interesting statistics, like Pick ‘Em, Best Better, and the Odds Sheet.

You clearly have something against Flyers and McLovin.  I am not aware of the details of what happened, but I can assure that all decisions made by our committee will adhere to the same high standards of fairness that we have always followed.  We do not, and will not treat anyone differently based on the country they are from.  All of us are individuals to be treated according to the merits of each situation.  Boycotting this tournament because of a perceived past injustice will not serve any useful purpose.  I hope that you, gkaros, and spyros will reconsider your decision not to participate.

We cannot say no to a guy like you Xerxes  Cheesy. We took the decision with seke to play to this great tournament and any greek player should participate.

Hello Xerxes,
After a telephone conversation that Gkaros and I had this morning, we decided to participate in the March Madness but not in the barrage with the miserable liar. We will inform all the greek players to participate in your tournament too. We made this decision only for protesting against the unfair treatment with flyer. But we know that it wouldn't be fair to connect this problem with the tournament you organise.

Yesterday Flyer talked to me in private chat saying "baby, you still haven't got over it ?"
I told him that he is gay and then he attacked me verbally regarding the current situation of Greece saying that "it is a bankrupt country with no more glory and things like that. Moderators can confirm it.
This is my answer to miserable Flyer :
It is easy to see why a person who comes from a nation with no history is happy now that Greece is weak. Because he is bothered with the fact that every science, art and knowledge is based on Greeks (Hippocrates, Aristotle, Socrates, Demokritos, Archimedes, Thucydides, Homer, Aristophanes, Phidias, Praxiteles, Isocrates,Thales of Miletus, Pericles and so many others). Every other nation has a history and during the years has offered something to humanity. Every nation but America. Oh, I forgot; USA has offered something to humanity too : wars, nuclear weapons, deaths of civilians when the bombs were falling on hospitals or when an american tank smashed a child in Serbia...
Nowadays Greece is a bankrupt country and many other countries are in danger of bankruptcy thanks to Goldman Sachs and other vultures, bankers and traitors...
At least I have something to be proud of : the history of my ancestors who tought their knowledge worldwide. While ancient Greeks were building the Parthenon in the Acropolis, Flyer's ancestors were still eating raw ants...

And just to give an example of how many greek words are used in English language, I'll add the speech of an ex prime Minister of Greece (Xenofon Zolotas) to the conference of the International Bank on the 2nd of October 1959 :

"Kyrie,
It is Zeus' anathema on our epoch and the heresy of our economic method and policies that we should agonize the Skylla of numismatic plethora and the Charybdis of economic anaemia.
It is not my idiosyncracy to be ironic or sarcastic but my diagnosis would be that politicians are rather cryptoplethorists. Although they emphatically stigmatize numismatic plethora, they energize it through their tactics and practices. Our policies should be based more on economic and less on political criteria. Our gnomon has to be a metron between economic strategic and philanthropic scopes.
In an epoch characterized by monopolies, oligopolies, monopolistic antagonism and polymorphous inelasticities, our policies have to be orthological, but this should not be metamorphosed into plethorophobia, which is endemic among academic economists.
Numismatic symmetry should not antagonize economic acme. A greater harmonization between the practices of the economic and numismatic archons is basic.
Parallel to this we have to synchronize and harmonize more and more our economic and numismatic policies panethnically. These scopes are more practicable now, when the prognostics of the political and economic barometer are halcyonic.
The history of our didimus organisation on this sphere has been didactic and their gnostic practices will always be a tonic to the polyonymous and idiomorphous ethnical economies. The genosic of the programmed organisation will dynamize these policies.
Therefore, I sympathize, although not without criticism one or two themes with the apostles and the hierarchy of our organs in their zeal to pragram orthodox economic and numismatic policies.
I apologize for having tyrannized you with my Hellenic phraseology. In my epilogue I emphasize my eulogy to the philoxenous aytochtons of this cosmopolitan metropolis and my encomium to you kyrie, the stenographers."

"I told him that he is gay and then he attacked me verbally..." LOL

That's pretty lame of Flyers to begin antagonizing via PM though.

I'm glad this site is so mature.

Regardless, I'm happy that Greece decided to play.

Let's have fun!

As for the economy, better not laugh at anyone. Human greed has brought us this far and nobody is going to save. The future is black, the color of greed.
Ford already said years ago, "I have to pay my workers enough so they can buy cars that we produce." But apparently not everyone thought so, so now we have this nasty situation around the world.

In terms of participation in the tournament, I think if you feel wronged, you have to look forward and forget what is not worth it. If you think you have been harmed by others, and not your fault, Why let this influence your decision, hurting yourself again?

Mr. President (  Smiley)You have succeeded in giving a warning on the table, now playing!

As for the history of civilization, no doubt we are all indebted to our ancestors. No one should forget that man is a midget riding a giant (our ancestors and their legacy knowledge). As we know, "To be thankful is a gift of the well-born people".

I apologize for my part of the chat.  However if I ask to play him and he immediately begins with the name calling it is hard to exit out of the chat.  But anyway, I apologize again.  Other than a ruling I may need to be part of, I will leave Seke and gkaros alone, I suggest they do the same.  Hopefully this tourney they just play their games.

As killshot said, this is about fun.  Lets drop the dodging.  If we sign up have the desire to play.  I will leave it at that.

Countdown is at 9 days!

When TNRocky and I and others created this tournament in 2009 we couldn't have imagined it would be the crown jewel of the "meta year" lets keep it that way.

Hello friends.

I've been out of the office for a few days.

I'm happy to see that everyone is still on board and ready to participate in this great tournament. Losing any of our top players would have hurt the tournament, but losing an entire countries best players would have hurt our entire community.

I look at our March Madness Tournament as a celebration of our community here at Metaforge. And I'm very thankful that cooler heads prevailed and that our Greek friends feel welcomed and wanted here. Thanks for working this out guys.

Now as lightwing has already mentioned.....Let's keep this on topic and continue signing up! Smiley
