Here are the early standings in the Pick'em contest, through the first two days of the tournament. Those tied for first place are the ones who correctly picked both VENOM and Devilsmacker to win, except razorclaw who didn't pick Devil, but made up for it by being the ONLY player to correctly pick ramraid!

Be sure to check back here every couple days, as I will be updating the standings as more results come in.

HANNIBAL has slipped back into a tie for first with a perhaps overly optimistic pick of himself over lightwing. Hani also picked himself all the way to the final four, so there may be more ground to gain on him in the coming rounds. Sohal and lighty earned a share of the lead with a nice pick of hingalls to the sweet 16, and iliketheesauce missed out on sharing the lead, after a bizarre choice of johnkord over himself!

HANNIBAL is back in the lead all by himself, thanks to a couple unforced errors by lightwing and Sohal, as lighty made the improbable pick of razor over gkaros, and Sohal strangely picked McLovin over tecato. Sauce avoided these or any other pitfalls and has pulled back into a tie for second. Kevn missed an opportunity to join this group by picking whistler over Flyers. Razorclaw also dropped due to Flyers' win, as well as BloodyVampire's loss. Barbarian and Xerxes have gained a bit on the field in recent days, and are still in striking distance. Pats, Blas, and everyone else 4 or more games back at this point will figure to have a very hard time catching up. Interestingly, anyone who picked only favorites would be tied for first place.

There's been some happenings in Pick'em lately, as kevn and sauce have moved into a three way tie with Hani. The difference-making picks have been Pats to the E8, and Spiff & and Xerxes to the S16. Kevn is the only one to get all three correct! Sauce got two out of three, and Hani and most others managed only one correct pick out of these three.

Only three games have happenned since the last update, but Hannibal and sauce have pulled away from the pack with some prescient picks. Both picked SEKE in the Elite 8, while sauce also correctly picked Spiff and Hani correcly picked tecato. Sohal and lightly got one out of three and kevn missed them all. For the first time, the leaders have more correct picks that someone who just picked only favorities.

The Pick'Em Contest has a winner, and it is .... Sohal

Sohal cannot be caught in the two remaining games, and has the potential to even increase his margin of victory. The picks that won it for Sohal were Pats and Sauce to the final four. No one else got both those two right, and most got neither.

Congratulations Sohal on your great picks, and thanks to everyone else for playing and adding to the fun of March Madness.
