recap of sauce vs co: i got some early info on a col and major. i used some information to determine that the marsh was not on this side, and decided to make a strong play on those 2 pieces with my gen. i got the major, scouted a bomb under the lake, and then brought my marsh over to take care of the col. i was up a col and major. the only problem was that i didn't properly realign my moved pieces to get them out of harms way before revealing my marsh. co came with a col down the middle, got some scraps. major mistake #1 was not moving my spy out of the way of the col, so i gave a free spy away. this would later cost me the game. i then tried to bluff a major as a scouting piece in order to either get it traded or get something then see the gen. i already knew the marsh based on movements. co took the major immediately with his gen. mistake #2 came when i lost track of the marsh, and trapped it with a major. now i was down a major for a col, but had no spy. i was still in pretty good shape to win as my col was unseen and in a very unpredictable spot. i also knew his tripod and 5 bombs. major mistake #3 came when co decided to shuffle his marsh for 20 moves. no shame no gain. the real shame was the fact that it worked. i lost track of it, which through off my whole remaining strategy as all my pieces were in the wrong spots based on wrong information. from that point on co did what good players do. he isolated my col with his marsh, and used his major/spy to work the middle bringing up miners. he also called my last bluff risking his final cap for an unseen piece with my marsh protecting. was hard to sleep after that one. viva la RV
